چکیده

Microalgae that are of interest for biofuel production must be able to tolerate environmental changes occur in outdoor cultivation systems. While algal cultures may experience daily temperature fluctuations and seasonal changes, the underlying mechanisms control regulate physiological responses adaptation pressures largely unknown. Systems-level characterization enabled by functional genomics can help identify biochemical pathways promote stability productivity algae various conditions. Monoraphidium minutum 26B-AM, a freshwater green microalga, was identified as top performer biomass winter season screens. We sequenced genome M. 26B-AM applied our multi-omics pipeline profile this high potential strain under salt cold perturbations. Through comparative analysis, including other class Chlorophyceae, we gene families unique genus Monoraphidium, desaturase has been linked tolerance plants. observed osmolytes, such trehalose, proline betaine, accumulate stress, coinciding with upregulation genes involved biosynthesis these metabolites. From annotation, reconstructed metabolic model provide detailed map used simulate growth reaction fluxes. This analysis provides foundation explore applications, guides engineering, expands understanding regulatory

Omics Study for Abiotic Stress Responses in Plants

mechanisms, we are still a step away from understanding the plants entire response to multiple stresses in fields. While advancement in microarray and deep-sequencing technologies lead to rapid accumulation of genomic and transcriptomic data under different abiotic stresses [6,7], the limited depth of quantitative proteomics has inhibited similar progress in post-transcriptional gene regulation...

Emergence of Omics-approaches for Crop improvement during Abiotic Stress

The change in environmental conditions brings various physiological and biochemical changes in plants, which often prove to be deleterious and tends to change the complete physiology and agronomy of the plant and hence results in crop loss. It became quite important to address the various environmental perturbations frequently addressed as biotic or abiotic stresses coherently so that proper un...
